01 / Who we are
Not a crew.
A creative partner.
We enter the process early, understand the cultural and creative world of the project, and take responsibility for execution from concept development through production, post and delivery.
Our work moves between cinema, performance, oral history, research and community practice. The format changes; our standard does not. Every project is approached with cultural fluency, technical craft and the curiosity of collaborators rather than outside observers.

It is part of the creative decision.
We plan for Indian Sign Language, audio description, multilingual subtitles and sensory-aware documentation as part of the production methodology — not as a patch added after the edit.

What kinds of projects does Motionara take on?
We work on short films, documentaries, theatre and performance documentation, podcasts, research and residency media, heritage films, accessible content and selected community or school film programmes.
Can Motionara join a project before production starts?
Yes. That is our preferred way of working. We can join during concept development and help shape the visual approach, production plan, accessibility design and delivery strategy.
Do you work outside Kerala?
Yes. Motionara is rooted in Kerala and works across India and internationally, including remote and hybrid collaborations where appropriate.
Can you produce accessible versions?
Yes. Depending on the project, we can plan for ISL interpretation, audio description, multilingual subtitles and accessibility-aware delivery formats.
